工作繁忙，很久沒有更新本部落格，只有 Beverly Kenney 會讓我這懶人振作。數個月前得知今年會再有一批 Beverly 未曾公開的錄音發行，便一直期待至今，終於在日前收到網購的第三輯《Unreleased Vol.3 What Is There To Say?》(所有曲目皆有試聽)。 神奇的是，本張專輯的重發製作人  Bill Reed  最近又發掘了更新一批從未曝光的珍貴錄音，目前正忙著匯整重製，請大家拭目以待 Unreleased Series Volume 4 的來到 …..

這是日本獨立廠牌 SSJ 《Snuggled on Your Shoulder》、《Lonely & Blue》最新發掘的珍貴錄音，當中還有許多 Beverly 首次曝光的手稿與手繪，更包括了一系列由知名攝影師 Chuck Stewart 在錄音室所捕捉到 Beverly 的美麗倩影，以及生前最後一位秘密戀人的訪談紀錄。

這張珍貴的錄音包含了兩首 Beverly Kenney 協力的全新創作《I Hate Rock & Roll》、及由美國西岸的現代客座歌手 Diane Hubka 全新詮釋 BK 的創作曲《I Don’t Believe in Love》，前者是一首輕快的搖擺曲，當中展現了一位身不逢時的爵士演唱家的骨氣，歌詞除了揶揄搖滾樂與貓王，並對之做了最溫柔的抗議，搖滾樂迷可別生氣，但這歌詞寫的真是絕妙啊，先前並不清楚這張專輯竟然還網羅了 Roland Hanna 跨刀相挺啊。

知名電影製片Arthur Schwatz 的公子 Jonathan Schwatz 曾經在GQ雜誌的一篇專欄給予 Beverly Kenney最高的評價，將之與貝多芬、早年的 Miles Davis、Frank Sinatra與Verve時期的 Billie Holiday相提並論。而本張專輯的製作人 Bill Reed今年也發行了一本音樂書《A Fine Romance: My Lifelong Affair With Jazz Singing and Singers》，當中詳盡記錄了 Beverly 短暫而傳奇的一生，本書還還收錄了許多罕見爵士歌手的訪談與資料。
